I see all kinds of reports that is the local Bedouin attacking the Druze. Am not convinced. Something, other than my Druze barber, tells me it’s Sunni Muslim fanatics in Syrian army uniforms. Just me.

@Tom-K said in Mildly Flatulent: The sad thing is Renauda had to pay for that study. Different budget. Besides what research the Alberta gov’t now puts money into is of zero ultility. This at least supports the local agro-food industry.

@jon-nyc Growing old has its drawbacks, although my father lived to 91 with the same condition. It didn’t kill him, at least directly it didn’t, although it eventually contributed to a tendency towards open sores and infections on his shins. It was the repeated infections that took their toll and wore him down.

We could probably incorporate as a social issue think tank and apply for grants. That would be a hoot.

Except I wasn’t referring to any specific case, just like I wasn’t talking about any specific M13 gang member. I was speaking generally about prioritization.

@89th said in This is disturbing: @Horace said in This is disturbing: On a scale of 1 to 7.3, how concerned are you, True story, yesterday I almost replied to this post asking why you could be so insensitive to have the rating scale max out at a 7.3, out of respect for earthquakes of that magnitude such as Vanuatu last year. And this morning Alaska gets a 7.3 magnitude earthquake, tsunami warnings and all. Sorry about that. Didn't know my own power. But in the words of Louis CK, accidentally causing a huge catastrophe is a small price to pay for the realization that you have the power to cause huge catastrophes whenever you want. It's pretty awesome.
